Humanistic medicine's goal is teaching students "Attitudes and Habits of Highly Humanistic Physicians".For this purpose, in this course widely deal with medical philosophy, medical ethics, sociology of medicine, medical professionalism and doctoring, and also doctor-patient relationship.

In order to cultivate the understanding of statistical approaches in the medical field, it focuses on the basic concepts of medical statistics and the basic contents centering on the statistical methodology generally used in medicine. In addition, it introduces statistical considerations for systematic literature review for conducting evidence-based medical research and the ability to interpret the results of research conducted in the medical community centered on meta-analysis.

First, students must realize the importance of life, and always maintain a reverent mind and attitude in studying the human body. Then, students learn the basic concepts of human anatomy, study the theory of gross structure (systematic anatomy) and microstructure (histology) for each system of the human body, and practice osteology and histology. In addition, basic principles and general theories of human embryology are studied.

최근 우리나라 국민들의 해외여행이 자유화된 이후 해외여행자 수는 폭발적으로 증가하여 하고 있으며 따라서 귀국 시 여행지에서 각종 전염병에 걸려 귀국하는 환자수가 해가 갈수록 많아지고 있다. 주로 열대풍토병과 세균 감염에 의한 전염성 질병 환자가 늘어나고 있어 이에 대한 의학적 지식 함양과 대처 방안에 대한 교육이 필요한 실정이다. 이에 의학과 학생들이 앞으로 의사로서 이들 국가에서 유행하는 질환들에 백신이나 치료약 및 예방법에 대한 지식을 함양하는 것이 필요하다.

This course is offered to students that are in the middle stage of their pre-medical track. The course will introduce the students to theories of science, language of research, ethical principles, and elements of the research process within quantitative and qualitative approaches. The main focus will provide 1) how to read research articles effectively, 2) discuss the validity and reliability through team-based scholarly criticism, and 3) ultimately, suggest the practical application for their future patients.

Intervention of dietary factors in the prevention of chronic diseases, including the purpose of treating diseases or injuries, plays an important role in a comprehensive approach to patient treatment. It learns the effects of nutrition and dietary factors in patients with essential nutritional management in the treatment of diseases, and suggests the role of dietary intervention and nutritional knowledge. In addition, by learning the basic knowledge of nutrition as a medical scientist, it lays the foundation for developing the ability to utilize nutritional knowledge throughout the treatment process including drug treatment in treatment.
