The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine was first established in 2000 at Kangwon National University, College of Medicine.

The Department of Anesthesiology is responsible for anesthesiology education and practice in the medical school, anesthetic requirements of every surgery in the hospital, clinical consultation for outpatients with acute or chronic pain in the Pain Clinic, and care for critically ill patients.

We will continuously make efforts to provide the best medical education and care while prioritizing safe anesthesia.
