OVERVIEW
The Department of Laboratory Medicine, Kangwon National University School of Medicine plays an important role in measuring molecular and cellular components from specimens derived from humans and utilizing it for the diagnosis of disease, determination of treatment effect, and prognosis estimation.
Currently, three professors in the fields of diagnostic hematology, clinical microbiology, clinical chemistry, diagnostic immunology, transfusion medicine, and molecular biology are actively engaged in testing, interpretation, and reporting.
In addition, the Department of Laboratory Medicine is certified as an excellent laboratory for participating in domestic and foreign laboratory quality-assessment services.
We are operating the latest test information system in all testing fields and are spreading new knowledge. During undergraduate courses, we help students acquire knowledge and skills as primary care doctors through basic laboratory medicine education.
