The Department of Biochemistry comprises three faculty members, research professors, assistants, graduate students in doctoral and masters programs, and researchers.

The Biochemistry Department conducts active education and research activities in the basic classroom space and in a dispersed laboratory on the first floor of the Graduate School of Medicine. In educational activities, biochemistry and molecular genetics are conducted for first-year students of medical schools to acquire basic knowledge as a medical student. Various research projects are being conducted in the fields of vascular and metabolic biochemistry, tumor and aging, and functional genome biochemistry.
