- Research Summary
-
Our research topics
- 1) hPSC-derived 3D alveolar organoids
- serve as a powerful tool for predicting the therapeutic potential of drug candidate for pulmonary fibrosis as well as for modeling pulmonary diseases
- provide a robust in vitro system to evaluate pulmonary toxicity of various environmental pollutants including particulate matter
- provide in vitro platforms to predict health effect of new and variant viruses and find therapeutic approaches
- 2) hPSC-derived functional macrophages
- could be therapeutic target as well as therapeutic source for pulmonary fibrosis and tumor via regulation of their polarity
- secrete extracellular vesicles transporting various biological molecules, which could be therapeutically effective for respiratory diseases
